I think I found it.

Wow. I'm having way too much fun today. The kids are taking awesome naps. I cleaned the kitchen (even the floors!) and I'm searching for a fun hairstyle. I really want to do something drastic.
So much so, that I don't even care if I don't like it in a way. I'm just wanting to take a risk.
Man, DO NOT take me gambling tonight.

So, I think this is it:

Oh, and our oven is totally on the kaputs right now. It was here when we moved in and you can tell it's farily old-ish. Recently, when the oven lights, it makes a loud noise and jumps a bit. Kind of scary! So no baking for me this week and then of course alls I want to do is bake. We've found one we like at Sears and they are having a nice sale right now. I would love stainless steel, but after much debate we are going with "bisque". Our fridge is bisque (and you know I'm totally the type to make sure all my appliances match.........or not). My cupboards are bisque. I really, really, like light colored, bisque-y kitchens. So that's that. Some big purchases are really annoying, like car problems, or termite problems (hello, annoying!), but this one is kind of fun. I guess the year 2009 was a BIG year for us.
A baby.
(Awesome, but let's face it....EXPENSIVE)
A new car.
A big trip.
Stupid termites.
A new oven.

Now I guess my $5 limit on pretty much everything else in my life makes much more sense, huh? Because really, we aren't big spenders, we just had some BIG things to do this year and hopefully no BIG things to do in 2010.

Yes, 2009 was a big year for the Charltonians! That's the new cool way to make your name plural, I have decided. There is NO better way to end a big year than a haircut. I really like this one. Go for it. I'll give you $1 and you can take THAT gambling.

That would look adorable on you!

And I have to throw in here that I am EXTREMELY JEALOUS that you're getting your hair cut!!! Could someone PLEASE emphasize to my husband how much better I look with short hair?! Thanks.

I just got caught up on your blog, so to save time from commenting on everyone, I'll just tell you that I love the pictures of Henry's little "Jim Jones" scenario. Too funny. And I love finding good used toys to give at Christmas. I kind of see it as my duty to the earth to recycle.... or maybe I'm just cheap.

Hope to see you soon. ;)

I LOVE that haircut....wish I had the guts to do something like that, but I'm pretty sure I'll never do it. I always think other people look so cute with hair like that but I just can't bring myself to do it!! I say go for it!!

I love the haircut! It will look so cute on you!
I'm so happy that you get a new oven--even though it's an unplanned expense--how fun it be to cook on a new sparkling stove!!!
I think all the 2009 expenses have made for one cute family of four riding around in a cute zippy car!

This hair thing is so funny. I thought the Katie Holmes cut was so Alisa, I could just see her with that do. Then I open your blog see your picture and it is so you! You two do a great job of picking haircuts that just fit you. That hairstyle seems perfect for you, you should totally do it and remember to post pictures!!

Is the turning 30 thing hard for you? I am having an awful time with it, I just can't believe I have been alive 30 years....it doesn't seem possible. I hope you will celebrate a little too, after your big haircut. My big day is all too close and 30 will be here and gone before I know it!
